Hello again everyone, I’m the PlanetPunter and I’m back this week to guide you through the best weekend wagering action.
The Bundesliga has been back on our screens for the past fortnight and although it’s a small amount of games to make big judgements, a few things have caught my eye.
Firstly, home advantage seems to play a big part in Germany. Before the break, the league had a home win % of 43%. Now, behind closed doors, that figure is under 20%.
This brings me onto my first pick. I’ll be taking on 4 weak home favourites with the double chance market as below. This four-fold requires none of the home teams to win. We’ll be hoping for either a draw or an away win in each match!
Not only that, but if all 4 selections are correct, we’ll be rewarded with an extra 8% boost on top of the possible winnings.
Danish Superliga is Back!
Moving away slightly north from the Bundesliga, the action resumes in Denmark.
Now I can hear you saying ‘PlanetPunter, we’re not interested in Danish football..’, but wait. Nordsjaelland, one of the biggest clubs in the country has no fewer than 8 Ghanaian exports on their books. If they signed a Ghanaian goalkeeper and 2 more outfielders this summer, they could field an all Ghanaian XI.
Their best player is Ghanaian wonderkid Mohammed Kudus. The striker is out of contract this summer and the race for his signature has already begun amongst Europe’s biggest clubs. Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund and Everton are among the suitors for the goal machine who looks to have a huge future in the game.
He and they resume their campaign this evening at 17:00 and it’s worth tuning in to see someone who I predict to become one of the best strikers our country has ever produced. Nordsjaelland are big favourites to return in winning ways and chances will be plentiful for the attacker.
BetPlanet’s Ghana Flying The Flag Special
Kudus’ potential Black Stars attacking partner Richmond Boakye also returns this weekend for his domestic team Red Star Belgrade. These two alongside Paderborn ace Christopher Antwi-Adeji make up BetPlanet’s Ghana Flying The Flag Special market this weekend.
With attention from the big clubs on Kudus to perform. I think he’ll shine today. This is the big opportunity for him to impress the onlooking scouts and secure a big move this summer. I’ll be backing all three of the selections below. He’ll be shooting from anywhere!
The big game this weekend has to be Bayern Munich at home to Fortuna Dusseldorf. The Bavarians have carried on just where they left off and have made light work of two potential banana skins so far. When they swept aside 2nd placed Dortmund midweek, Bayern all but secured their 30th German Championship. Now the pressure is off, next come the shackles. Before the return I expected Bayern to really go to town on a few teams. They’ve navigated their tough opening fixtures and this game looks like the perfect time to start enjoying themselves.
A couple of bets to suggest here. Bayern -3.5 looks incredible value @ 2.41. I can’t see them failing to score fewer than 4+ goals and wouldn’t fancy the visitors to breach their ironclad defence.
Secondly, for the big thinkers, there’s the following bet in the PlanetSpecials edition for this game.
This bet was offered earlier this week when big favourites Leipzig hosted Hertha Berlin. Both teams scored in both halves. Each team got 2+ cards. Hertha Berlin had 3+ corners in each half. The only thing that let the bet down was that Leipzig failed to get 3+ corners in the 2nd half!
English Premier League News
More good news from the world of football in the last few days that the English Premier League has confirmed its return on the 17th of June. The EPL has a race on its hands to complete the fixture list before the September deadline. This means that the league has devised a football frenzy schedule which could see up to 5 games played consecutively on a weekend. After weeks of complaining about having no football to watch, I can see myself walking into the opticians in October complaining of square eyes!
Good luck this weekend. Stay safe and bet clever with the PlanetPunter!
